How often should I brush and floss?

You should use the 2-2 rule as a guideline. The 2-2 rule dictates that your brush your teeth at least twice a day for at least two minutes every time. This normally means brushing in the morning and brushing before bed. We also recommend that you floss at least once a day. The best time to floss is at the end of the day. This allows for the removal of food debris that may have built up over the course of the day.

What can I do about stained or discolored teeth?

If you have stained or discolored teeth, there are a few different things that you can do. Teeth whitening solutions such as ZOOM!, a professional procedure, or Day White, an at-home system, could help whiten your teeth several shades in a short period of time. Other options include veneers. Veneers are small porcelain shells, as thin as a contact lens, that provide the appearance of perfect, pearly-white teeth. At Elite Dental, we use a type of veneers called Lumineers in order to provide the highest quality of cosmetic improvement.

Why straighten teeth?

Not only does straightening teeth provide a more aesthetically pleasing smile, but it has many other benefits as well. For instance, misaligned teeth are more prone to infection and tooth decay. Misaligned teeth also have an impact on how you are able to bite, chew, and speak properly.

What are my options if I have missing teeth?

If you have missing teeth, you may be interested in learning what your options are. Dental implants are a quite popular solution for missing teeth. Dental implants are designed to last a lifetime. Dental implants are anchored directly into the jaw and mimic the appearance and feel of a natural tooth. Other dental solutions such as dental bridges can also provide a natural-looking solution to missing teeth.
